What started with one classroom in a forgotten village has grown into a movement transforming 35 villages — and 15,000 lives — across Tamil Nadu.
Our Founding Story
One man. One classroom. One unshakeable belief.
In 1993, Dr. P. Sethu returned to his home village of Andhur after years of education in the city. What he saw broke his heart — children walking miles for schooling that wasn't there, families unable to afford uniforms, generations locked out of opportunity by a single accident of birth.
He didn't write a report. He didn't wait for a grant. He opened a classroom. First it was twelve children sitting on the floor. Then it was forty. Within five years, families from four neighbouring villages were sending their children. Today, three decades later, the school serves 1,088 students from 35 villages — and the bus routes still get longer every year.

Most of our students are first-generation learners. Their parents are farmers, daily-wage workers, and small traders. They believe — as we do — that education is the way up.
